RB Toolkit – Ad Blocker, Privacy & Website Performance
Last updated: October 13, 2026

RB Toolkit is a browser extension that blocks ads and trackers and shows a speed and privacy report for the pages you visit. It was designed and developed by Rahul Bindal. This policy explains what the extension does with information. The short version: it collects nothing about you, and nothing leaves your device.

What we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, share or store on any server any personal information, browsing history, page content, or usage data. The extension has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no telemetry. The developer has no way to see what you browse or how you use the extension.

What is stored on your device

To work, the extension saves the following in your browser’s local extension storage. It stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. It is not synced to other devices.

  • Your settings: the on/off switch, which blocking categories are enabled, and whether leftover ad boxes are hidden.
  • Sites you chose to pause, your custom filters, and the page elements you chose to hide.
  • Running totals: how many requests were blocked, an estimate of data saved, and how many pages you have visited since installing. These are counts only. They do not record which sites you visited.

You can reset the totals or clear everything at any time from the settings page, or by removing the extension. You can also export your settings to a file you control.

How the extension works with web pages

  • Blocking. Blocking is done by your browser using rules bundled in the extension. The extension does not read or log the content of your requests.
  • Page report. When you open the popup, the extension reads your browser’s built-in performance timings for the current page (load time, number of requests, hostnames of third-party resources) and combines them with the count of blocked requests to calculate the report. This happens locally and is not saved or sent anywhere.
  • Hiding elements. A script on each page hides ad containers and the elements you chose to hide. It does not read form fields, passwords or personal content.

Permissions

declarativeNetRequestApply the blocking rules, your paused sites and your custom filters.
declarativeNetRequestFeedbackFind out which of the extension’s own rules matched on a tab, to show the blocked count.
storageSave your settings and totals on your device.
webNavigationDetect when a tab loads a new page so blocked counts are attributed to the right page.
activeTabRead the address of the current tab when you open the popup and talk to that tab for the report and element picker.
Content script on all websitesHide ad containers, measure page performance and run the element picker on any site you visit.

No remote code, no third parties

All code is bundled inside the extension. It does not load scripts, fonts or other resources from the internet, and it makes no network requests of its own. We do not share information with third parties because we do not have any.

Links to other sites

The extension includes links to the developer’s YouTube channel. They open in a new tab only when you click them. YouTube is operated by Google, and its own privacy policy applies once you visit it.

Children

The extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the extension ever changes how it handles information, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date will change. Any change that involves collecting data would be described here before it takes effect.
