PRIVACY POLICY – PDF Editor – Rahul Bindal

PDF Editor (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension designed and developed by Rahul Bindal. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
- SUMMARY
PDF Editor does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. All PDF processing happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server. - INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect or transmit:
- The PDF files you open, edit or save
- The contents of your documents
- Your browsing history or the pages you visit
- Personal information such as your name, email, location or identifiers
- Analytics, usage statistics or tracking data
The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it does not load any code from remote servers.
- DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The extension stores only the following, and only on your device or in your own Chrome profile:
- Your settings, such as whether PDF links open automatically in the editor. This is saved with Chrome’s storage feature and may sync across your own devices if you have Chrome Sync turned on. We do not have access to it.
- A signature you draw, only if you choose “Remember on this device”. It stays on your device and you can clear it at any time.
- PERMISSIONS
- Access to websites (all URLs): used only to load the PDF you choose to open, and to open .pdf links in the editor. The extension does not read or modify other page content.
- webNavigation: used only to detect links to .pdf files so they can open in the editor.
- contextMenus: used to add the “Open link in PDF Editor” right-click option.
- storage: used to save your settings, as described above.
- THIRD PARTIES
We do not share data with any third party, because we do not collect any. The extension includes the open-source libraries pdf.js and pdf-lib, which run locally inside the extension. - CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. - CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
